Whom to Pray and What to Pray?

Right from childhood we have been trained how to pray to God Who is, we have been told, residing up there in the spiritual sky. We have been guided to beg Him what we want in our life. Of course we know the success rate of such prayers. Yet we didn’t have many choices, and so we continue to pray this way, and we teach our kids what we have been taught by our parents. It’s time for us to wake up and learn and guide our kids whom to pray and what to pray.

We believe that God is omniscient and omnipotent. He knows everything about everyone here - our past, present and future. He can do anything for anyone. That is what omniscience and omnipotence mean, and we have no doubt about these characteristics of God. We may belong to any religion or no religion, but this fundamental faith about God is mandatory for prayer.

But what we have missed here is another indispensable trait of God. The basic spiritual Law requires that unless an Entity has omnipresence, that Entity cannot have either omniscience or omnipotence. In other words, if you believe that God is omniscient and omnipotent, it is automatically implied that God is omnipresent as well. You may go to your place of worship like temple, church or mosque to pray. You may look up at the sky or at the Idol while praying. But the moment you believe that God is omniscient and omnipotent, you imply that He is present everywhere. That is, the symbol of God you are worshiping actually refers to the omnipresent Entity.

Who can be present everywhere? For obvious reasons a person limited to physical boundary of his body cannot be simultaneously present everywhere. Science says that a field of electromagnetic wave can be present in a wider geographical location. So, only entities like field of energy can be present everywhere and not persons like us. Hence, if God is omniscient and omnipotent, He cannot be confined exclusively to the physical boundary of a person or idol or place. He should be like air surrounding earth. She should be like space filling the universe.

And in fact, He is. After enlightenment, you can perceive God pervading this universe. Our prayer will be effective only if we understand this omnipresent nature of God.

What do we pray to God? What we want, isn’t it? But if your heart craves enough for what you want, God, residing in your heart, will automatically know it. Then, why should you shout it out to Him? No need.

Then why is God not fulfilling your prayer? Because your Negative Energy is blocking its manifestation. So, you have to get it removed. You have to shout it out to God. Why should you shout it out to God? Because your heart doesn’t crave for the removal of your Negative Energy that blocks the manifestation of what you want.

To sum up, we pray to the all-pervading all-knowing all-powerful God to remove our Negative Energy that blocks the manifestation of what we want.
